Ø The primary
functions of this position are to receive, store, inventory, pick, pack, and
ship service parts in a safe and efficient manner.
Ø This job
requires that you have the physical capability to stand on your feet for up to
90% of a normal eight-hour shift. You must have sufficient strength and stamina
to bend, stoop, reach, and lift as much as 75 pounds repeatedly during the
performance of long hours of continuous work.
Ø Occasionally, you
will be required to work beyond the normal closing time in order to complete
critical last minute shipments or wait for freight carriers to pickup
shipments. Weekend overtime may also be required during periods of high
requires that you successfully complete the company certification program as
required by OSHA regulation. Seat belts must be worn during any operation of a
sit down lift truck.
2) Sales Orders
& Outbound Shipments: You are responsible for accurately pulling orders,
packing the order to minimize damage in transit, and completing shipping
documents either electronically or through a manual Bill of Lading. You may be required to select the most
appropriate method of shipment and should be familiar with company and
departmental policies in this area.
When assigned to receiving, you are responsible for logging incoming shipments
and seeing that the shipment gets to the appropriate department, bin location
or individual. You must accurately check
and bin the stock items. For any items
requiring new or changed locations, you are responsible for selecting an
appropriate location and entering the change (s) into the computer system.
Damaged items or discrepancies should be
reported immediately to the Warehouse Manager.
Any incoming shipment with obvious damage should be reported to the
Warehouse Manager before the carrier leaves the dock.
You will be required to perform periodic inventory cycle counts and warehousing
The warehouse should be maintained in a “show condition” at all times. Sweeping the warehouse and work area and
emptying waste containers daily are required.
You are expected to assist the Warehouse Manager in monitoring the
inventory level of shipping supplies and to maintain these supplies in an
orderly fashion. All other duties that may be required to perform to support
the operation of the Company.
